2018 In Review
It has been a while since I have written my own blog post, almost a year exactly. 2018 was the year I was going to re-vamp my website and launch my blog steadily. I had worked hard styling pieces and planning content out for the beginning of the year, then life happened and I pushed this to the back burner. I have had this personal blog for almost four years now. I love doing this as a side hobby, but really want it to be more consistent for myself and hopefully my readers too!
2018 was a great year, I got a new pup (now three total), worked a ton at my daytime job, moved to a new house, and really started my fitness journey at Orange Theory! Now, looking back I am like where did the time go… day-to-day life of work, taking care of the pups, cleaning, cooking, errands, working out, spending time with family and friends - there is never enough time. However, this year I am trying to slow it down.
My passion has always been fashion, I love going shopping to get new pieces and styling them in different ways. Beauty related topics, I am obsessed with anything hair or make-up related. And lastly, I have really appreciated interior design and reading and learning how to style different pieces of artwork, and furniture to fit perfectly in the right setting.
To be honest too sometimes posting 24/7 on instagram makes me feel overwhelmed and like I am not living in the moment with my family and friends. Not to mention the anxieties of putting yourself out there and not getting any likes. One thing about getting older though is realizing you have to do what makes you happy, and that this blog is an enjoyable hobby for me!
So for 2019 I vow to be more present and consistent with my life and this blog. I hope to post twice a week, one always being fashion and the other switching from beauty, to interior design posts!
My first post is one of my favorite sweaters- this leopard print. My mom had borrowed it for three months before giving it back to me to to finally wear! Its so soft and a very cute piece to add to anyones wardrobe!
